Trinamool youth leader Soumitra Banerjee gets egg-treatment after arrest

Trinamool Congress (TMC) youth leader Soumitra Banerjee became the latest party figure to be targeted in an egg-pelting incident on Tuesday in Raniganj. The assault occurred in broad daylight while Banerjee was in active police custody, being escorted to a local court following his recent arrest. As law enforcement officials guided him toward a waiting police vehicle, an agitated crowd breached the immediate perimeter, hurling a barrage of eggs while aggressively chanting "chor, chor, chor" (thief, thief, thief).

The sudden chaos left security personnel scrambling to shield the arrested politician from the volatile onlookers.
